Turning Surplus Food into Hope & Nourishment
A Meal Shared Together
At one of our recent food distribution drives, a group of children sat together on the ground, sharing a simple meal from plates laid out in front of them. Some ate quietly, some chatted between bites — for a little while, the only thing that mattered was the food in front of them.
For these children, it wasn't just a meal. It was a moment of care, community, and relief — one we hope to bring to many more children like them, every single day.
Hunger remains a serious and persistent challenge in India. According to the Global Hunger Index, India faces a "serious" level of hunger, and a significant share of the population continues to face food insecurity every day. Among the most affected are young children, many of whom suffer from undernutrition simply because they don't get enough to eat.
Yes We Can India is working to close this gap. We aim to reach as many people as we can across India, providing food to those who need it while also raising awareness about the value of food and the importance of not letting it go to waste. We believe that a little sharing from every individual can make a real difference in society.
Our team prepares meals and delivers them directly to daily wage laborers, families in underserved communities, and children who would otherwise go without a proper meal. Every meal is cooked with care, checked for quality, and delivered with dignity. Yes We Can India is committed to doing its part to make sure no one in our reach has to sleep hungry.

At Yes We Can India, we believe that gap doesn't have to exist. By preparing and distributing fresh, cooked meals ourselves, we ensure that the food reaching people in need is consistent, safe, and dignified — not dependent on what happens to be left over elsewhere.
"Yes We Can" is committed to doing its part to reach as many people as it can, one meal at a time.
The campaign activities involve
- Locating people who need food.
- Collaborate with event managers and wedding planners to get the food supply.
- The process to check the quality and quantity of food to know which areas can the food reach.
Activities Done
During the COVID-19 crisis, Yes We Can NGO played a crucial role in supporting vulnerable communities by distributing over 1,000 cooked food packets. The organization also provided ration kits to widows and essential supply kits to families facing hardship, helping them navigate the challenging circumstances with dignity and care.
